Meet Me in the Metaverse

Visual identity designed for Meet Me in the Metaverse, a partnership between It’s Nice That and The Conran Shop. The collaboration features an immersive installation taking over the design store’s Chelsea location in London. Inviting a global set of artists to reimagine design classics from The Conran Shop’s AW22 collection, Meet Me in the Metaverse sees the digital and physical collide in the exploration of design’s role in an intriguing virtual landscape.

The identity revolves around the concept of ‘meeting’. A key symbol, consisting of intersecting shapes, serves as a modular element used to design all identity assets. The visual elements, from the logo to patterns, are built following a square grid, resembling pixels and a digital environment, like the metaverse. The grid is designed so that all elements can be overlapped and combined together to create new meeting points, and therefore generate new images.

The pixel element, the concepts of modularity and meeting points are emphasised by the motion behaviour. This recreates a coding-language feeling with geometrical pattern grids in continuous movement. Dynamic and pixelated transitions reveal different types of information, including shapes, compositions, messages, images, and video.
