Formula Type

Teasers created for Formula Type, an Italian type foundry, to introduce its Home and Lab pages. Formula Type plays with ideas of science and chemistry as a way to describe its design process, and this became the starting point for the videos.

The Home page teaser highlights this scientific angle. Thin and precise lines slowly come together to form the word ‘Formula’, echoing both structure and experimentation.

The Lab page video takes a different route, focusing on transformation and play. A mix of organic, geometric, and abstract shapes move fluidly, blending into one another. This continuous motion mirrors the spirit of the Lab, a space dedicated to research, testing, and open-ended exploration.
